TCEC will be accepting employment applications through April 22, 2015 for the position of SCADA Technician. The position supports the operation of substation equipment as well as delivery of accurate, reliable load data and alarms by installing, maintaining and troubleshooting all of the equipment required by the SCADA system. Completion of a technical school certificate/degree or an Associate’s Degree in Technology preferred and two or more years’ experience in SCADA related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. High school diploma or equivalent.
TCEC will be accepting employment applications through March 31, 2015 for the position of electrician assistant. Duties of this position are to assist the electrician with installing, removing and repairing of electrical equipment. A registered apprentice electrician is preferred. Applicant must be 21 years of age and have a valid Class A CDL.
Help Desk / Network Assistant
TCEC will be accepting employment applications through March 31, 2015 for the position of Help Desk/Network Assistant. This position is responsible for assisting the IT Coordinator to administer and support personal computer and network environments that include installation, help desk, troubleshooting, analysis, repair, maintenance and training. Associates Degree in a networking related field, or 2-3 years work experience with several networking related courses.
TCEC will be accepting employment applications through April 13, 2015 for the position of relay technician. This position is responsible for installation, testing, maintenance and calibration of cooperative protective relaying equipment and electrical/electronic equipment associated with the power delivery and communication systems. Completion of the substation journeyman certificate program or the relay apprentice technician program is preferred. Applicants with an Associate’s Degree in Electronic or Engineering Technology with two or more years’ experience in utility industry would be considered. A combination of education, training and experience may be substituted when competency in the position is demonstrated. Must be 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL is required.
