Energy Camp
What it is: Contest where 8th grade students from within Tri-County Electric’s service territory enter to win a four-day trip, May 28-31 to Canyon Camp outside of Hinton, Oklahoma. At this leadership development camp, students learn about rural electrification while also having fun swimming, hiking and playing volleyball.
Contest: Write a letter to the principal of your school naming specific actions the school should take to be more energy efficient. Include photos and other exhibits you can come up with to support your reasoning for your school become energy smart. Be creative!
Letter length: 200-350 words
Requirement: Letters must be typed in a professional font, in block style lettering and be from you to your principal. Be sure to sign it!
Deadline: Entries must be at the cooperative by Friday, April 12!
